Yes BUT only to those eligible and referred by a G.P. Medicare implemented a scheme in 2004 for those with chronic health conditions such as diabetes, long term arthritis and vascular disease. This scheme referred to as the Medicare Plus or Enhanced Primary Care plan (EPC) allows those eligible to claim back some of there consultation fees with certain allied health professionals. To be eligible for rebates though this Medicare plus scheme your G.P is required to put you on a care plan. This care plan will allow you to claim back a rebate on up to 5 visits per year with your Podiatrist.
